  • "Winter Break-In" is several iterations of the library sequence from "It's About Time". In the pony original, Twilight and Pinkie Pie sneak into the Canterlot library to find a magic scroll; whereas here, the human girls are considering various schemes to get into the school to get Sunset's keys. In both cases, the correct solution is to just ask to be let in; however, pony Twilight had forgotten that she has enough authority to visit the library whenever she wants, while human Twilight has enough common sense to call Principal Celestia for help.
  • The fifth short is essentially a retread of the Equestrian Rainbow Dash's subplot from the Best Gift Ever special — Rainbow has no idea what to get Fluttershy on short notice and gets help from a friend she doesn't get along with but knows Fluttershy better than her.
• Short Run in Peru: This special aired in Ukraine on September 1 and Poland on September 22, before the US release on November 2.
• What Could Have Been: An early draft had this special as a single story before it was made into six standalone ones.
