Many a troll fic writer has admitted to wanting to write their fandom's equivalent of ''My Immortal''.

Almost nothing is known about her outside of what she writes in her author's notes (and even that [[LyingCreator may not be true]]), including whether the story is genuine or a TrollFic or if Tara Gilesbie is even her real name, and she seemingly disappeared off the face of the internet once she stopped writing the story. Although several people have come forward claiming to be her, none have been confirmed to ''actually'' be her.

* ReclusiveArtist: Tara Gilesbie. Almost nothing is known about her outside of what she writes in her author's notes (and even that [[LyingCreator may not be true]]), including whether the story is genuine or a TrollFic or if Tara Gilesbie is even her real name, and she seemingly disappeared off the face of the internet once she stopped writing the story. * ParodyRetcon: If the person who claimed to be the author is who they say they are, either it is a TrollFic, or the author is too embarrassed to admit they were a bad writer. They claimed it was a TrollFic.

* WordOfGod: Authors' notes pop up in most chapters, mostly to criticize reviewers as "preps" and excuse her spelling problems and mischaracterization. One note in Chapter 6 reveals that Dumbledore's swearing is the result of him having a headache. Another in Chapter 4 tries to explain why Draco is OutOfCharacter by saying that he already knew Ebony.

* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: The original version was deleted when {{FF.net}} started [[ThePurge deleting rule-breaking content]] (it was also on Adult-Fanfiction.org, [[http://www2.adult-fanfiction.org/forum/index.php/topic/10884-tara/ but when the admins of the website realized they had the story, they deleted it and Gilesbie's account and put her in the Hall of Shame/do-not-return-to-our-website list]]), but it lives on, either from being reposted or by being hosted on mirror sites.
