- Dawson Casting: Paul and Sauer's reminiscences imply they were at school together, even though August Diehl is seventeen years older than Jannis Niewöhner.
- Release Date Change: The film was originally slated to be released in 2021, but ended up bumped to January 21, 2022.
- Similarly Named Works: In some countries, the film is just titled Munich, which is the same as the 2005 Steven Spielberg film about the aftermath of the terrorist attack on the Israeli team at the 1972 Olympic Games.
- Those Two Actors: It's the third film to star both August Diehl and Ulrich Matthes after The Ninth Day and A Hidden Life (and all three films have Nazi Germany as setting).
- Typecasting:
- This is far from being the first time that Ulrich Matthes stars in a production set in Nazi Germany. He was in, among others, Aimée & Jaguar, Downfall, the Das Boot series and A Hidden Life before. Speaking of Downfall and Nazi leadership, he was Joseph Goebbels in the latter, and now plays Adolf Hitler.
- Ditto with August Diehl, although he's played less Nazis than Matthes in that historical setting.
