• Amateur Cast: All of the cast except the actor who plays Bigfoot were amateurs drawn from a huge casting call. So far, the only amateur to go on to future projects is the one who plays Rambo.
• Cast the Expert: The actor who plays the Messenger was an actual guerrilla fighter in FARC from the ages of 11 to 24. In spite of his size, he became an elite soldier in the group. He was originally hired as an adviser before the director cast him as the Messenger.
