* CastingGag: Let's see, Michael Obiora playing a policeman called by a woman named Sally to investigate disappearances? [[Series/DoctorWho Did he blink, just for a second?]]
* LifeImitatesArt: When they joked on ''MockTheWeek'' that everything the channel four writers were coming up with ended with "crossed with ''Series/{{Skins}}''" it looks like they may have been right... ''Series/{{Heroes}}'' [[XMeetsY crossed with]] ''Series/{{Skins}}'' anyone?
** Actually before the show aired the E4 voiceovers would promote it during the end of every Series/{{Skins}} type show and superpower movie by mentioning how it is an XMeetsY of the just shown show/movie.
** Ironically, after Lauren Socha was arrested, she was charged with ''assault'' and sentenced to...wait for it... ''community service''. Awkward!
* RoleEndingMisdemeanor: Kelly was written out of the show after Lauren Socha was arrested and convicted of racially aggravated assault on a taxi driver. Despite Channel 4 denying that her conviction had anything to do with Kelly being PutOnABus, Socha's career has stalled, with only two television appearances since then.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Simon was supposed to go evil in series one episode five, betraying the gang and forcing them to kill him at the end of the series, but the actor was so likable that it was rewritten.
** Ironic considering his [[BastardBastard role]] in [[Series/GameOfThrones Game Of Thrones]]
** Superhoodie [[spoiler: was never intended to be Future!Simon at all. There used to be a video on E4's website of Simon filming a video and being confronted by Superhoodie during it. Superhoodie spoke in a different voice/accent to Simon and gives a cryptic warning about watching the gang before running off. Presumably the writers thought of the Future!Simon idea while writing Series 2 and just ran with it.]]
