  • Initially Mel would've been locked up in Tartatus as punishment for her actions, but because reviewers wanted her to be Swallowed Whole by Cronus, things were changed so she would succumb to this and be punished by her parents, forcing her to take responsibility for her actions.
  • When Cross was submitted for the OC contest, his dragon form had an orange, black, and gold color scheme. JP and Buck changed it to green and blue to correspond with his magical specialties.
• What Could Have Been: There were several ideas for how the chapter, and thus the "Underworld" Arc, was going to end that were cut for being too depressing;
  • Edric would've given in to his hunger and eaten the food Mel provided him, thus getting trapped in the Underworld forever. Not only would this have rendered the mission to save him slightly moot, it would lead to either his adoption by Hades and Persephone, serving as Hades' intern, and/or returning home six months later.
  • Lilith was going to be claimed by Baron Samedi which would force Luz to complete her deal with the Baron and leave Lilith absent for the rest of the fic until a certain point.
  • Mel was going to be left imprisoned in Tartarus, but since multiple readers wanted her to be eaten by Cronus, her fate was changed.
• Word of God:
  • The Cetus that appears here is the one from Greek legend, not the version that is seen in Hercules. This version of Cetus is based off the Kraken from Clash of the Titans (1981), is an actual Titan, and uses the name Cetus to avoid confusion with the Kraken from Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
  • Trini's death had always been the plan for her final fate due to her actions throughout the arc.
  • Lindsay's "Madstream" state is like if "the Hulk fused with Hinata Hyuga if she had gamma radiation-no-jutsu and Dark K.O."
