  • No Port For You: Dennis once stated in an FAQ that, while not out of the question, versions of the game outside of PC and Switch (such as PlayStation and Xbox platforms) are not currently planned, as Dennis didn't think those platforms would make sense for the game due to its smaller scope in addition to console development being both labor-intensive and expensive. He would later casually confirm in a tweet that Xbox and PlayStation versions of the game are, in fact, being worked on.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Hana was originally going to be an Accessory Wearing Cartoon Animal for much of the game's development, wearing nothing more than a bandana in earlier builds. Later builds of the game give her a full outfit (albeit with Judy Hopps-style gaiters that leave her feet exposed), with Dennis joking on Twitter that she "finally got over her exhibitionism". She also got two ribbon bows on each side of her head after someone said she would look cute in one.
    • This game was originally called "Eversleep: Lunistice Gaiden" and, as the name implied, it was originally meant to be a spinoff of a different game that was originally called Lunistice. What was originally Eversleep was retitled Lunistice as the game started to grow past its original scope as part of a self-imposed challenge to make a commercially viable game in 30 days, while what was originally known as Lunistice (now known under the Working Title "Project Moonbunny") ended up being shelved. Dennis has stated in an FAQ that he may incorporate elements from that game into a future title, however.
      • Even before then, the project once known as Lunistice took on at least two different forms during its lifetime before being shelved, those being a 2D platformer and a 3D Star Fox-esque rail shooter respectively. Each had two different protagonists as well, those being a fox named Kit and a rabbit named Veri. Both versions were also being made in different engines, with the former being made in Game Maker and the latter being made in Godot.
    • According to Dennis, the game was originally planned to have four guest characters instead of the two that ended up in the game (those being Toree and Toukie). The remaining two guests ended up being cut due to how difficult the game's code was to work with as a result of it originally being made for a 30-day challengenote , though he has stated that they would likely appear in the next game he makes. He has once stated in a livestream that one of the characters that was planned to be added was Lea from CrossCode, which would've made her the game's sole playable human character.
    • The level select menu in earlier builds of the game had a message reading "WELCOME, [player name]!" ([player name] in this case referring to the name assigned to the player's device, therefore welcoming the player by name). This message was changed in later builds to simply read "WELCOME, DOCTOR!" instead, likely over privacy concerns.
