• Recycled Script: The plot was taken from Law & Order 's season 7 episode "I.D." Both episodes deal with a corrupt judge railroading an otherwise open and shut murder trial because of his personal biases and dislike of the ADA (Jamie Ross in the original and Casey Novak in the SVU version) handling the case. The ADA eventually gains the upper hand and exposes the judge at the end of the episode.
