* NamesTheSame: Superman's EvilCounterpart has nothing to do with [[Franchise/UltraSeries those giant silver guys]] who save Tokyo from {{Kaiju}} attacks.
* PlayingAgainstType: Looking at their later roles, the idea of Brian Bloom playing a villain and Jonathan Adams playing a hero seems far fetched.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen
** It was originally planned as a ''WesternAnimation/JusticeLeagueUnlimited'' film, titled ''[[http://dcanimated.wikia.com/wiki/Justice_League:_Worlds_Collide Worlds Collide]]''. It's still really obvious.
** The casting of the movie contains two, according to interviews with Creator/BruceTimm. According to one interview, James Wood was set to be in the DCAU version before it got pulled, though it's unclear who he was going to play (Timm said he'd still been Owlman, but Andrea Romano, DwayneMcDuffie and Wood himself believe he was going to play the good Luthor). According to another, Creator/VanessaMarshall, who voiced Wonder Woman for the film, was in the running of the role in ''WesternAnimation/JusticeLeague'' and came close, but the producers picked Creator/SusanEisenberg instead for the series.
