• Creator Backlash: The author doesn’t like the novel any more, now thinking that a lot of the jokes fall flat and that the story really suffers by not being planned out ahead of time, leading to Plot Holes and things that went nowhere. Also, the narration is really bad. This is part of the reason for the webcomic version, which wouldn’t have the narration problem—but since he had no artistic experience whatsoever at the time, he is embarrassed by that too, genuinely thinking the art is among the worst of all time.
