Trivia / Hugo the TV Troll

• Follow the Leader. The popularity of the show resulted in a lot of similar phone game shows being produced all over Europe. Many of which licensed the ITE system directly.
• Screwed by the Network: As stated on the main page. ITE never recovered after it was bought and gutted by Olicom. Mostly just limping trough the 2000s and being handed between several different companies.
• What Could Have Been: An animated Hugo movie was in production as early as 1999 with a budget of almost 20 million USD, making it the most expensive animated movie ever produced in Denmark at the time. It's unknown why it was cancelled, but its premise (Hugo going to space to battle Scylla who wants to take control over a "Black Diamond Moon") was recycled into the 2002 educational game Hugo in Space.
