Trivia / Housepets! the Series

• Ascended Fanon: A storyline in "Uncle Reuben Had a Farm..." implied that Rufus was extremely old by pet standards (on the accepted assumption that pets in the Housepets universe generally can age to be half as old as humans), and ended with Rufus dying of old age. Rufus ended up dying in Housepets! off-panel, to return in-canon in the "Temple Crashers 2" mega arc as an angel and a Denizen of Heaven. Given he was depicted as an adult when Maxwell was a kitten, it's presumed he was fairly old when he died in-canon as well.
