  • Actor Allusion: Common in his later works.
    • Fujioka's most iconic character, the original Kamen Rider, was written out of Kamen Rider V3 also by stopping a missile. It also didn't last.
    • One of the music videos also has him delivering a flying kick to the camera, which is also a callback to Kamen Rider's trademark finishing move.
    • This video takes the Kamen Rider references to its logical conclusion by having Shocker appear and call him Takeshi Hongo, to which he responds by becoming Kamen Rider 1 and fighting them with 2, V3, and Black RX, all while the original opening plays in the background.
    • The UFO Kamen Yakisoban ad series has a character played by Fujioka named simply "The Legend." Several references to Kamen Rider are spread throughout, but also to others. Near the end of the series he finally activates his long-awaited special attack: his cyborg armor is replaced by a judo gi, and he flips and headlocks the main villain right at the end.
    • His eldest son, Maito, would portray the young Hongo/Rider 1 in Kamen Rider: Beyond Generations, with Hiroshi acting as advisor on the role.
  • Real-Life Relative: In a series of ads produced in 2020, Segata Sanshiro's son Shiro is played by Hiroshi's son Maito Fujioka.
