Trivia / Heidi (2015)

• Actor-Shared Background: The casting calls required most of the cast to be able to speak Swiss German fluently instead of doing it in Hochdeutsch (standard German) as some previous European versions did (standard German is kept for Heidi's stay in Germany, for obvious reasons). Anuk Steffen, Bruno Ganz and Quirin Agrippi met that requirement. Also, Anuk Steffen is from the mountainous canton of Grisons/Graubünden, where the film was shot.
• Hey, It's That Place!: The village usef for the filming, Latsch, is the same that was used for the 1952 film version of Heidi directed by Luigi Comencini.
