Trivia / Gotham Knights (2022)

• Author's Saving Throw: The game's Creative Director confirmed The Joker won't be appearing in the game, seemingly in response to the criticism of the character being overused in the Arkham series after City.
• Content Leak: The Collector's Compendium, due to be released four days after the game itself on October 25, 2022, was accidentally sent to people on October 7th, almost three weeks early. The game's trophies were also available to be viewed online a few days afterwards.
• Release Date Change: An example where the release date is pushed forward by a few days, as the game was originally scheduled for release on October 25, 2022, which happened to be the ninth anniversary of WB Games Montreal's last DC video game Batman: Arkham Origins. On August 23rd of that year, however, the release date was moved forward to October 21st.
• Role Reprise: Krizia Bajos reprises her role from the "first season" of Batman: The Telltale Series as Renee Montoya.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were planned to be released. However, on May 10, 2022, those versions were canceled to "bring the best possible version of the game", according to WB Montreal.
  • If a leak from Nvidia GeForce Now is any indication, the game was originally meant to be part of the Batman: Arkham Series under the title Batman: Arkham Insurgency (which had been rumored by insiders years prior). However, for unknown reasons, it was ultimately reworked into an original game with no ties to the Arkham games outside of similar gameplay mechanics.
