• Technology Marches On: One issue in the film is Janey hiding Jeff's phone call from her father; it being The '80s, they only have one landline phone in the house. Jeff also has the issue, on his own end, of his little sister swiping their only phone before he's done with it. Nowadays, of course, they would probably text each other, which would require a whole different manner of hiding the communication.
