!Trivia for the comic book ''Comicbook/{{Flashpoint}}'':
* DevelopmentGag: In the ''Flashpoint''-verse, the {{Shazam}} powers were given to a group of six kids, one power each, who can join forces to summon "Captain Thunder". The use of six heroes was the original concept for Captain Marvel before the writers decided to give all the powers to just one guy, and "Captain Thunder" was the original choice for his name before they found it was trademarked.
** It's also the name of the CaptainErsatz of [[{{Shazam}} Captain Marvel]] that DC introduced to fight Superman before they secured the rights to the actual character.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: According to GeoffJohns on the commentary track for ''WesternAnimation/JusticeLeagueTheFlashpointParadox'', ''Flashpoint'' wasn't originally designed to reboot the DCU into the Comicbook/{{New 52}}. This means that originally the DC Universe was going to back to how it was prior to before the events of ''Flashpoint'' as opposed to the altered version of it that it became.

!Trivia for the TV series ''Series/{{Flashpoint}}'':

* ChannelHop: In the United States, ''Flashpoint'' will be moving from Creator/{{CBS}} to [[{{Ion}} ION Television.]] [[http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news/2011/09/12/ion-television-premieres-hit-police-drama-flashpoint-with-original-episodes-tuesday-october-18-at-10pm-et-pt-691200/20110912ion01/ New episodes will begin airing on October 18, 2011.]]
* GeniusBonus: Almost all the references to locations involve actual roads and neighbourhoods and many of the downtown buildings are very recognizable, meaning someone with enough familiarity with Toronto can actually trace the fictional action of an episode -- even [[ArtisticLicenseGeography when it doesn't make sense]].
* [[HeyItsThatGuy Hey, It's That Guy/Girl]]:
** Amy Jo Johnson was a [[Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers Power Ranger]]. It occasionally gets distracting when you're waiting for Jules to morph... This has become many a fanfic where people have combined the two series she was in, in some way shape or form.
** Hugh Dillon has been the frontman for multiple Canadian bands and also stars in the series ''Durham County''.
*** Also a case of HeyItsThatVoice - he voiced Nick in ''VideoGame/Left4Dead2''.
** Sam Braddock has been [[FinalDestination involved in a big pile-up]] once.
** Enrico Colantoni has [[Series/VeronicaMars been to Mars]] as well as [[Film/GalaxyQuest beyond the Klaatu Nebula]]. And now he's running [[Series/PersonOfInterest organised crime in New York]].
** AlexCarter has shown up.
** Also [[Series/{{NCIS}} Jenny Sheppard]] as an InternalAffairs investigator.
*** And [[Series/{{NCIS}} Paula Cassidy]] as Jules' replacement in Season 2 [[spoiler: who later gets blown up (''[[ActorAllusion again]]''!) in the first part of the series finale]]
** Maybe it's just the Cylon programming, but [[Series/BattlestarGalacticaReimagined Chief Tyrol]] took Greg Parker hostage inside the Air Canada Centre.
** Multiple actors from CBC's ''Series/TheBorder'' have also shown up, which makes sense as both series are/were filmed and set in UsefulNotes/{{Toronto}}.
*** [[Film/ADangerousMethod Sarah Gadon]] played [[BreakTheCutie Tasha Redford]] in Season 1's "Attention Shoppers".
*** [[BadassBaritone Mark Wilson]] played FBI agent Gilbride in Season 4's "Run, Jamie, Run", helping track down a corporate robber.
*** Graham Abbey showed up later in Season 4, as Donna Sabine's ex-squadmate Bill Kedrick in "A New Life".
*** Catherine Disher appeared as a 911 operator in the series finale.
** [[Series/{{Leverage}} Nate Ford's wife Maggie]] appears as a customs agent.
*** In the same episode, [[{{Series/Nikita}} Ari Tasarov]] is an ex-soldier and vengeful parent.
** Jack Bristow appears as a psychologist who deconstructs the team.
** Evidently, [[Series/{{Arrow}} Oliver Queen]] spent some time as the SRU dispatcher during the five years he was supposed to be on the island.
* ScrewedByTheNetwork: CBS broadcasted the show in the US but never kept seasons together, instead airing parts at a time and without pause between season. Basically, it was treated as summer filler. {{ION}} now has American rights to air the episodes after "Shockwaves," so perhaps they'll air it more evenly.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: The [[http://leethomson.myzen.co.uk/Flashpoint_1x01.pdf Original Pilot Script.]] included a romantically involved Jules and Ed (!) and a Sam who enjoys knitting (!!!), as well as other (more minor) changes. In an interview given by the series writers, it is also revealed they spent a lot of time working on the characters' romantic lives, and that Donna was initially going to be a negative force and a danger to the team that shook the trust and foundation of the SRU: [[http://playbackonline.ca/2012/12/13/in-the-writers-room-with-flashpoint/ In the writers' room with Flashpoint.]]
