• Content Leak: Low-resolution screenshots of the playfield were leaked prior to the game's official announcement. (Notably, Stern was quick to take down any and all copies of the offending pictures, contrasting their inaction following a similar leak of Jurassic Park two months prior.)
• Limited Special Collector's Ultimate Edition:
  • Similar to Batman '66, the game initially used a pricier variant of Stern's standard pro/premium/limited edition model: there are Premium^note the basic version of the game, Limited^note limited to 400 units; has a numbered plaque, shaker motor, art blades for the interior of the cabinet, a signature at the bottom, and other largely cosmetic changes, and Signature^note limited to just 50 units; similar to Limited, but with embossed cabinet decals and goodies like a swatch of fabric from Elvira's famous velvet couch and an autographed trading card editions.
  • Two years after the game's initial release, Stern announced a 40th Anniversary Edition. Limited to 199 units total, it includes purple-colored armor for the machine itself, modified backglass and cabinet artwork, an autographed trading card, and a signed copy of Elvira's then-recent autobiography Yours Cruelly, Elvira.
• Milestone Celebration: The 40th Anniversary Edition, revealed in late 2021, was made to commemorate the time since Elviras Movie Macabre premiered in 1981.
• Role Reprise: In addition to Elvira herself, Tim Kitzrow (who supplied voicework for Elvira and the Party Monsters and Scared Stiff) returns to serve the same role for this game.
