Go To

  • Money, Dear Boy: Martha Finley only intended to write up to Elsie's Children and end the series there, but not only had the series been quite successful, but found that writing the Elsie books provided a stable income for her, as a single woman with severe back injuries made it difficult to find other work opportunities, and continued writing up to 1905.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Originally, Elsie Dinsmore and Holidays at Roselands were to be published as one book, but the editors split it in two.
    • As mentioned above, Finley only intended to write up until Elsie's Children.
