• Fandom Nod: People do usually need flowcharts to figure out how exactly the Doctor's and River's timelines play out against each other.
• First Appearance: Of Nardole.
• What Could Have Been: Much like Jenna Coleman last season, Steven Moffat intended for a while to have this be his last episode before passing the show to a new runner, that being Chris Chibnall. Hence why he finally tied off one of his earliest plot threads. At some point before production, however, Chibnall made clear he had to focus on the final season of Broadchurch instead, and Moffat decided to stay on for one more season.
