• Circular Reasoning: Gillen spent some time wrestling with the question "is it a comic with an rpg spinoff or an rpg with a comic spinoff" and eventually decided that both were true.
• Working Title: Before its official announcement, Gillen referred to the comic exclusively as "Spangly New Thing".
