- Screwed by the Lawyers: The reason why the original website hosting the fanfics was taken down was because of the author receiving a cease and desist order from Lyrick Studios, the company behind Barney & Friends.
- Technology Marches On: Assuming the first part of the trilogy takes place in 1996, and the second part takes place in 2002-2003, the third part of the trilogy would take place sometime around 2023-2024, when children's programming on free-to-air TV has largely died out in favor of streaming services and the internet, rendering Barney's plan to brainwash children through hijacking free-to-air television broadcasts largely ineffective by today's standards.
