Trivia / Chuck Berry

  • Black Sheep Hit: "My Ding-a-Ling". Fate doesn't get much crueler than to have none of your revolutionary songs from The '50s hit #1, then to finally reach the top years later with a goofy novelty song that you didn't even write.
  • Channel Hop: After a decade with Chess Records he left for Mercury Records in 1967. Three years later he went back to Chess; his first album after his return was called Back Home. Then he released Rockit, his final studio album (in his lifetime), on Atco Records in 1979.
