• God Never Said That: Being a major writer for the Sonic Franchise who answers a lot of questions, Ian Flynn’s been misunderstood more than once:
  • His comments around Shadow left some with the impression that he hates the character. He later clarified that it was more about how strict Sega is with micromanaging writing with him that made Ian actively want to avoid it entirely.
  • When talking about a hypothetical Sonic Rush 3, his comments about suggesting “to put an end to the alternate dimension thing” led to various accusations such as laziness for not wanting to explore the Sol Dimension. He clarified that he’d love to, but that Sega won’t allow it, leaving it without much that’s worth keeping the concept around for. Especially since in practice it mostly serves as a big obstacle in using Blaze in stories.
  • An odd case where it wasn’t Ian who said it, but Kyle. In an offhand joke, Kyle claimed that “Sonadow Generations” would be at least as long as Sonic Generations because it’s an updated release. Some took this as confirmation of Shadow’s campaign being as long as Sonic’s. This would lead to the following episode (March 8th 2024) making an opening joke about Kyle not being allowed to speak and clarifying Kyle's lack of any involvement in the franchise past this podcast.
• Missing Episode: A few have been taken down at the request of certain individuals after the fact, such as episode #39.
• Teasing Creator: Ian will pull out his notorious #KnowingSmile when something comes up that relates to a work he’s working on which he can’t reveal yet.
