** Tama Tonga had been pitching for his brother to come to NJPW and team up with him all the way back during the time of AJ Styles' run, while NJPW remained reluctant to bring T into the fold. When Styles, Anderson and Gallows left for WWE at the start of 2016 along with Shinsuke Nakamura, Tama was close to joining them as well; however, Bad Luck Fale and Gedo both remembered Tama's desire to team with his brother and convinced NJPW to sign T to the company in order to keep him. In hindsight, this act very likely preserved the future of Bullet Club.

* AscendedFanon: The finishing moved that received the FanNickname of the Fatality was specifically called as such on Wrestling/RingOfHonor's ''14th Anniversary Show''. The "Fatality" name later also applied to Wrestling/AdamCole's Last Shot when preceded by superkicks, meaning it probably applies to any finisher where that happens.

** The sequence frequently used to end Bullet Club matches in the US with A.J. Styles and the Young Bucks (Superkicks, Indytaker/Meltzer Driver into a Styles Clash after another pair of superkicks) has become known in fan circles as the Bullet Club Fatality. This makes the use of the combo's end by the Bucks and Kenny Omega to punctuate Styles' ejection from the club oddly fitting.

Jay being stuck in America for most of 2020 and 2021 meant that they had to switch course, resulting in EVIL betraying LIJ instead and becoming a co-leader to BC. When the two later [[ObviousJudas obvious]] candidates (Ospreay and Sho) turned on CHAOS, Jay was nowhere to be seen for either of them; in fact he very quickly declared on Twitter that he did not want Ospreay in Bullet Club. Sho ended up joining EVIL's sub-unit and Ospreay formed his own stable. The closest we got to any payoff for the mole angle was KENTA, who'd been brought into NJPW by a respected ''ally'' of CHAOS (Shibata) only to betray them and join The Club, and this was attributed to Tama Tonga's recruiting[[labelnote:*]]and his friendly background with The Prince elsewhere[[/labelnote]] instead.

Kenny would join the group a few months after AJ's debut, and it would take a bit over a year before he properly took control of Bullet Club by ousting AJ when he too left for WWE.

* FollowTheLeader: Well known as one of the more popular nWo imitators, who have managed to retain their own popularity longer than the original(mostly because Bullet Club is not quite {{invincible|villain}}), to the point Bullet Club has it's own following groups. Ky-ote Joe's Arrow Club, an indiginal Amerindian stable rather than a foreign one nonetheless started by a junior heavyweight, seems like a coincidental case that decided to run with it, but the Victoria Australia based PCW "Bullet Kliq" is a blatant cash in, complete with foreigners.

* WagTheDirector: Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks became this via their Website/{{YouTube}} channel as The Elite, as its kayfabe content slowly progressed from comedic skits into a major part of a serious build for a feud between Omega and Adam Cole across New Japan and Ring of Honor, meant to culminate in at least one match between the two for ROH during his farewell with the company in Florida. They wound up incorporating legitimate events, such as Nick's food poisoning and Omega's Visa issues keeping him away from the ROH shows, into the storyline as being the handiwork of Cole blatantly playing TheStarscream (which was portrayed early on with him trying to "fire" the Bucks after he lost the ROH title to Daniels). Instead of Cole vs. Omega, thanks to the Visa issues, the payoff to the story turned out to be Marty Scurll joining the Bullet Club, replacing Cole, and being the one to beat him on his exit. NJPW made the call to have Scurll join the Club and represent them at the 2017 Best of Super Juniors tournament after seeing the positive fan response to his appearances on the channel, but they wanted him to simply ''tweet'' his membership, which the Bucks protested as they considered it a waste of storytelling opportunity. So instead they reworked the plot to have Scurll revealed at the War of the Worlds event where Cole was to be kicked out, plugging him into Kenny's place as Cole's final opponent, even filming Kenny's "Consider yourself fired" screen promo on some pretty short notice.
** That said, NJPW (or Gedo, more specifically) plan all of the Club's storylines and future members far in advance, so the Elite (as with almost all other New Japan talent) need to earn the company's blessing before moving on with any other ideas.
