• Recycled Script: The midsection of this book is basically How I Learned to Fly, just with intelligence in place of flight. It even also ends with the kids pretending to loose their power to go back to a normal life.
• Magnum Opus Dissonance: Maybe not "opus" but R.L. Stine considers this one of favorites, but feels it doesn't get enough attention or isn't super beloved by those who have read it. It has gained a bigger following in recent years though.
