Go To

  • Adam Westing: Tomasz Bajer, who played Laska, fully embraced being identified as his Erudite Stoner character and for many years was running a blog about surfing and random musings in-character.
  • The Cameo: Several well known actors and public figures make a brief appearance:
    • Andrzej Mleczko, popular Polish cartoonist, appears briefly to deliver a Non Sequitur line.
    • The bar patron who advises Oskar against visiting a shaman is played by Henryk Cześnik, a painter.
    • Laska's father, "The King of the Toilet Seats" is portrayed by a veteran actor Leon Niemczyk.
    • Cezary Pazura's (Fred) younger brother, Radosław, plays a police officer.
    • Kuba Sienkiewicz, lead vocalist of the band Elektryczne Gitary and Real Life neurologist, plays the neurologist at the hospital.
    • Grupa MoCarta, a cabaret and comedy string quartet, appear as the students at Kuba's conservatory - they are the guys Grucha tries to interrogate in a middle of a recital.
    • Janusz Wójcik, Władysław Żmuda and Krzysztof Dmoszyński, former football players, play the pub patrons discussing prospects of the Polish national football team.
  • Defictionalization: You can readily buy online Grucha's iconic pink sweater.
  • Real-Life Relative: While he doesn't appear in person, Kuba's father is portrayed in photos by Maciej Stuhr's actual father, Jerzy Stuhr.
  • Star-Making Role:
    • Maciej Stuhr's (Kuba) big break-out. Previously, he was mostly known as "son of Jerzy Stuhr" and his involvement in a student cabaret group.
    • Mirosław Zbrojewicz (Grucha) was previously playing bit characters. While he disliked the resulting Typecasting, he didn't mind "advancing" to a steady career as a character actor.
  • Stunt Casting: Siwy, the One-Scene Wonder random guy in a funny bow tie that punches the living shit out of Grucha is played by Krzysztof Kosedowski, Polish Olympic lightweight boxing champion.
