- The Danza: Pete Davidson as David.
- Dyeing for Your Art: Pete Davidson's (in)famous torso-covering tattoos were concealed with makeup for David.
- Method Acting: Pete Davidson actually punched Lee Pace during the Hurricane Slap Shot scene. Thankfully, Pace gave Davidson permission to do so beforehand.
- Queer Character, Queer Actor: Sophie is in a relationship with Bee, and she's played by Amandla Stenberg, a nonbinary lesbian actor.
- Typecasting: A whole bunch!
- Pete Davidson plays a snarky, drug-addled dirtbag, very much in line with his public persona and his work on Saturday Night Live and The King of Staten Island. In fact, his character's stupidity leads to the inciting incident of the plot.
- Maria Bakalova plays a Fish out of Water character from Eastern Europe, similar to her breakout role in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. Zigzagged, however, in that she plays The Quiet One here rather than the Large Ham Motor Mouth that she was in the aforementioned film.
- Rachel Sennott plays a neurotic young woman in a relationship with an older man, much as she did in Shiva Baby.
- What Could Have Been: The script was originally written by Kristen Roupenian of Cat Person fame, and bears little resemblance to the finished product: only a few of the names are the same, it takes place during a snowstorm rather than a hurricane, has little in the way of social satire, and is much closer to a traditional slasher movie, with way more violent kills and the rough Alice analogue being the killer. The script was heavily rewritten by Sarah DeLappe, with Roupenian getting a story credit.
