• Fake American:
  • Nish masquerades as a British woman visiting America, but she is actually American. Her actress Letitia Wright is British, meaning the trope is actually played straight.
  • Rolo Haynes is an American played by Douglas Hodge, a Brit.
  • Alexandra Roach, who plays the American Carrie, is actually Welsh.
• Irony as She Is Cast: For much of her appearance, Nish puts on a fake British accent that is dodgy enough to the point that Rolo Haynes mistakes her for being from Australia when they first meet. As mentioned above, Letitia Wright is actually British in real life.
• What Could Have Been: Penn Jillette, who wrote the short story that the first segment of this episode is based on, wanted to audition for the role of Rolo Haynes, but unfortunately production was too far along to change the casting.
