- Dummied Out: Battle City has graphics for an unused pistol power-up, the intended use of which is unknown. The power-up does however appear in some bootleg versions, where it usually acts as three Star power-up (upgrades your tank to shoot faster, fire two bullets at the time and break steel walls).
- Late Export for You: Despite being the most well-known of the games released in the series and unlike both Tank Battalion and Tank Force, Battle City didn't get an international release for a very long time, and its ports and re-releases, such as Nintendo's Virtual Consoles and the game's inclusion as Embedded Precursor in Star Fox: Assault were limited to Japan. It wasn't until Namco Museum Mini Player and Namco Museum Archives Vol. 2 in 2019 and 2020 respectively that it officially released in US and Europe.
