- Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme was originally intended for the U.S. Express.
- Windham was supposed to have been on Randy Savage's team, the King's Court, at Survivor Series 1989, but he left the WWF before that could have happened. Instead, WWF substituted the debuting Canadian Earthquake as the fourth man for the team, along with Savage, Dino Bravo, and Greg Valentine.
