• Acting for Two: Hadley and Portia are voiced by Ali Liebert.
• Make-A-Wish Contribution: This film is one of two acting roles from Miranda Ram-Nolte (1995-2014), a terminally ill teenager who got to be a voice actress via Make-A-Wish Foundation; she voiced Princess Miranda of Philadelphia in the film. Her other role was in Twinkle Toes.
• Spoiled by the Merchandise: True with every Barbie film, dolls featuring Blair's princess gown were distributed.
• What Could Have Been: Early trailers and the toys themselves indicated that Delancey was in the role filled by Isla in the finished movie (and vice-versa; some of the doll boxes have backdrops depicting an early version of Isla together with Portia). For whatever reason, they swapped the characters' roles (resulting in Isla becoming a Toyless Toyline Character).
