Trivia / Balto II: Wolf Quest

• B-Team Sequel: As Amblimation shut down following the release of the first film, Universal Cartoon Studios handled this and the third film instead.
• The Other Darrin: None of the first film's All-Star Cast returned for either sequel, with most being replaced by more experienced voice actors.
  • Maurice LaMarche and Jodi Benson voice Balto and Jenna, respectively replacing Kevin Bacon and Bridget Fonda.
  • Charles Fleischer replaces Bob Hoskins as Boris.
  • In the Japanese dub, Balto went from Kyohei Shibata to Masaki Terasoma, Boris from Michio Hazama to Yoshito Yasuhara, and Jenna from Keiko Toda to Toshiko Fujita. Oddly enough, Tesshō Genda (Muk) is the only voice actor from the first film who reprises his role.
  • The same goes with the Latin American Spanish dub, except the whole cast was replaced, since the dub was switched out from U.S. in Los Angeles to Mexico.
  • The Italian dub had the same example above as this was dubbed in Milian instead of Rome where the first film was dubbed.
  • Averted in some foreign dubs (like the German dub) where the main cast of the first movie reprised their roles for the sequels.
• Posthumous Credit: Mary Kay Bergman died in 1999. Balto II came out 3 years afterwards. She voiced the fox that Balto meets in one scene.
• Release Date Change: The film was originally scheduled to be released in 2000, but was pushed back two years due to the suicide of Mary Kay Bergman.
• Sequel Gap: There's a seven year gap between the release of the original film and this one.
