• The Danza: The Emperor and the Prime Minister weren't named in this episode, but their names were later given as Turhan and Malachi, the same as their respective actors, Turhan Bey and Malachi Throne.
• Real Life Writes the Plot:
  • According to JMS' Patreon commentary, Michael O'Hare's cameo as Sinclair was actually written and shot at the very end of Season One (due to what we know now, of course, was understandable uncertainty about the actor's mental health and trying to shoot this during Season Two). As Stracynski put it, this was his down payment to O'Hare for bringing him back down the road to conclude Sinclair's arc.
  • JMS also states that due to O'Hare's health problems, the cameo was limited to single-camera scenes (which could easily be shot back in New York once O'Hare returned home) to ease the stress and strain for the actor. The cameo was also written so that it could be used at any point in Season Two or later (with JMS deciding to finally play that card here and now).
