- Inspiration for the Work: The series was conceived as a response to the many works of Religious Horror that used Christian themes for their villains. Meanwhile, the art style of the Angel Hare cartoon was based on that of Mary Mungo And Midge.
- Newbie Boom: Around the end of season 2, a number of content creators such as ManlyBadassHero and Night Mind covered the series, giving it a large boost in popularity—enough that the watch parties for the last two episodes of season 2 had to be moved to Twitch instead of the creators' Discord server. When Night Mind covered the first season in a video, a new wave of fans became interested in the series.
