• Career Resurrection: Shine, her first full-length album after being kicked out of Nightwish, made it to #59 on the Swedish charts, but her career was doing poorly enough that she decided to go to nursing school so she'd have a backup career (she has three children, after all). The Dark Element was successful enough to bring her back, although she still only agreed to the contract with the understanding that they wouldn't go on any long tours.
• Creative Differences: Nightwish's official reason for firing her. Anette, however, has accused them of firing her after she discovered in the middle of the Imaginaerum tour that she'd gotten pregnant; the band disputes this version of events.
• Dye Hard: Anette described her natural hair color in a blog post as "middle-blonde". In Alyson Avenue she dyed her hair auburn, then went back to a light blonde◊ around the time she joined Nightwish. In the middle of promoting Dark Passion Play she dyed it again to the iconic black hair◊ she stuck with long after Nightwish. She experimented with colors here and there, and has been photographed with highlights like magenta◊ and purple. Her "Vintersjäl" shoot saw her in an even lighter shade of blonde than she sported around ten years prior, but as of her TDE stint, she's dyed it black yet again.
• Un-Canceled: After “Vintersjäl”, she announced online that her singing career had come to a close and it was time for her to focus on family and nursing. Two years later...
