Trivia / ...And Justice for All (1988)

Go To

  • Multi-Disc Work: Because the album was Metallica's first to be recorded with the Compact Disc format in mind, its 65:25 runtime is too long to fit on a single vinyl record. Consequently, LP releases spread the album across two discs, which would become the standard for every studio album released afterwards.
  • Posthumous Credit: "To Live Is to Die" pays tribute to Cliff Burton by using his unused bass lines and crediting lyrics to him.
  • Referenced by...: On Vargskelethor's 2018 album Super Ghostbusters, the track "Ghosterboster" mashes up a sped-up MIDI of Ray Parker Jr's "Ghostbusters" with the vocal track from "One".
  • What Could Have Been: The final track "Dyer's Eve" originally had a longer intro in the demos before dropping it.
