• Development Hell: The author started writing the first draft of the story in September and October 2018, but had other duties after that and added very little to the story over the course of two years. In early August 2020, he finally found the time to return to the story, expand it, fully complete it and publish it on the site.
• Write What You Know / Creator Provincialism: Very averted, as the author of the story is not even from North America, but a central European writer, with archaeology, ethnography and historical crafts among his hobbies. He felt there was a missing decent alternate history that treats Amerindians non-stereotypically and focuses on their ingenuity when it comes to archery and other areas of traditional tool and weapons manufacturing.
