• Bonus Material: Several strips have comments or even entire conversations taking place between the comic's main characters, right there in the strip's comments section.
• Defictionalization: 'The Blobland Band' books and radio show are mentioned in the All over the mouse story as being Tesrin's favourites as a child. Word of God says these are on their way (although the "radio show" will be in the form of audio CDs).
• Fan Community Nicknames: Fans are referred to as 'Housers' in the blog, which corresponds nicely with sister comic The Life of Nob T. Mouse's fan nickname, 'Mousers'.
• Write Who You Know: Emily is a writer and broadcaster, as is Kirk. Tesrin is a magic-using barrister, while Robinson is a law student and lapsed pagan.
