Trivia / ALAMAT

Go To

  • Actor-Inspired Element: Mo likes riding motorcycles. His glamor shots in “kasmala” showed him riding a motorcycle.
  • Dawson Casting: In 2022, for the “Section ALAMAT” skits, they play high school students. In reality, they are (at this time of writing) college-aged young men, with Jao being the youngest at 19 and Tomas being the eldest at 23 when the skits were filmed.
    • The music video for "Maharani" also has them playing high school students, although with a more teenaged look than the "Section ALAMAT" videos.
  • Deleted Scene:
    • The “kbye” behind-the-scenes video offers some crisp footage for a few scenes that didn’t make the final cut.
    • The special “Sa Panaginip Na Lang” music video for the Laxamana movie Expensive Candy features many deleted scenes of the ALAMAT boys that were not included in the actual MV.
  • Fan Community Nicknames: Magiliw (plural: Magiliws or Mga Magiliw). Collectively, Barangay Magiliw. It can be translated as "beloved," and in the first lines of the Philippine national anthem, it is used to describe the singer's devotion to his country.
  • Meaningful Release Date: “kbye” was released on Valentine’s Day 2021.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Word of God is that they would’ve actually cast white actors to play the white Americans in “kasmala,” if not for COVID-19 Pandemic constraints.
    • "ILY ILY" was already envisioned since 2021 and was intended to be the follow-up to "kasmala" rather than the eventual "porque". An earlier concept for the song still included lines for Valfer and Gami before they both departed from the group, and Lyca Gairanod was not originally planned to collaborate with them. The song was supposed to start with the Tagalog refrain while using the Hiligaynon folk lullaby melody, but after Valfer left, they decided to use the original Ilonggo lyrics for the intro to retain the representation.
