Trivia / Afterfall: Insanity

Go To

  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: After the legal controversies surrounding the game's developers came to light, the game was quickly pulled digital distribution platforms with no chances of the game ever coming back.
  • Screwed by the Lawyers: "Screwed" is kind of a strong word, considering they asked for it quite loudly: the game was eventually removed from Steam after Epic Games sued them for unlicensed use of the Unreal Engine. This, among other issues, resulted in Nicolas Games going bankrupt, which will most likely leave Afterfall: Reconquest unfinished. (If you're inclined to feel sorry for the publisher, do note that, before finally going bankrupt as a result of their other shady business practices, they also screwed the development team out of half a year's salary. Really, the bankruptcy and lawsuit couldn't have happened to a more deserving bunch.)
  • Stillborn Franchise: There were plans for a sequel, but after the developers has legally done themselves in for their unlicensed use of the Unreal Engine, any possibility of the game seeing a sequel won't be happening anytime soon.
