Complementing the movie's shocking premise and graphic nature, it also has many upsetting moments, too.
- Mama's death and her dying words. After Azulin had poisoned her, she is shown to be coughing up blood and fainting on the floor, much to Gordi's horror. She is then bed-ridden, on the brink of death, as she requests to Gordi to protect his brother by any means necessary.
- This event would also be the start of Gordi's somber attitude, now being under the care of a father who cared and provided more for Azulin than him. Also as a result of Mama's dying words, Gordi has been in a rather toxic relationship with his brother for most of his life.
- Once you realize that Coco had embarked into the Magical Forest after saying his goodbyes to his pregnant wife, and died rather horrifically at the hands of Azulin. He died before he could ever see his child.
- Likewise, all of the other bears besides Azulin and Gordi die AFTER they say their goodbyes to their relatives. To top it off, all of their deaths are recorded as "collateral damage", despite this.
