Miho crying and calling for help during the continue screen can be this. It's even worse in the original arcade version, where she flatout says that she'll be killed, and it's entirely possible to run out of credits during the final level (with said level limiting your credits to five beforehand), leaving you with no way to save her. Imagine being permanently stuck in a Forced Transformation, on top of losing your girlfriend...
