Tear Jerker / The Bridge (2011)

• During Anja's death in Season One, she asks Saga if she's going to die, and Saga tells her no. When she does, Saga leaves the room looking visibly pained, which is Harsher in Hindsight when you consider what happened to her sister, Jennifer...
• Each series finale is packed full of tearjerkers. Not sure any other show has done it better.
• On the bridge, "Can you tell me that August is alive? Saga? Is August really alive? Saga, can you promise me that August is alive? Saga!"
• Last scene of series 1, when Saga's face transforms as she says August's name.
• Pernille trapped with the dying Viktoria, unable to leave because she's infected too, while Martin and Saga listen.
• Saga explaining why she's so hurt by Martin's actions, "I've analyzed why, and concluded that you're my only friend."
• When Saga tells Henrik she doesn't want to get close to anyone because they all end up either leaving or hurting her.
• Anything to do with Henrik's family. Standout examples:
  • Henrik turns and looks at his wife as she moves out of the doorframe the first night Saga sleeps over.
  • His daughters "return" after the Holst baby is kidnapped.
  • Lillian tells Henrik his wife is dead.
  • Henrik tells his daughters he knows they are alone after his wife's body and not theirs is found.
• When Lillian tells Saga that Hans is braindead and they're going to turn off his life support, she goes to visit him in hospital...where she stares at him in stunned silence for a minute, then slaps him across the face and leaves the room looking like she's about to burst into tears.
• The finale of Season Three, with Saga standing at the same spot where her sister jumped in front of a train. Luckily she doesn't go through with it, but seeing Saga break down in tears - the first time she cries in the entire series.
• Saga receives boxes of keepsakes from her mother, including photos from Saga and Jennifer's childhood. Her mother cut Saga out of every picture.
• Henrik is finally reunited with his living daughter, and tells her he'll be with her no matter what.
