Sonic.exe: Spirits of Hell is known as the Sonic.exe game with the most Tear Jerkers.
The first game does not have that many, but there are some moments:
- In the worst ending, the corrupted Tails, Knuckles and Robotnik walking through Silent Hill zone, to find Exeller, is through a sad music. However, this is somewhat Narm-y.
- Tails' solo ending is made out of this, particularly Silent Hill Act 1 and the credits scene.
Most Tear Jerkers are in the sequel, Sally.exe: Whisper of Soul.
- Again, Tails going through Silent Hill in his solo ending. In fact, Knuckles, Robotnik and Sally are the only ones who don't have a Tear Jerker moment in their solo endings.
- Every time Tails is Driven to Suicide. In other words, his duo endings with Amy and Sally, respectively.
- Fail the Quick Time Event in Amy and Cream's duo ending, and Amy is Driven to Suicide, because she thought Cream was dead. Amy and Cream's duo ending when you succeed the Quick Time Event is better, not by much, but it's more heartwarming: Amy and Cream leave Freedom City, trying to get as far away from Exeller as possible, but they're soon after caught in Alice's reset.
- In Amy and Sally's duo ending, Amy dies at the end, which breaks Sally. Worse, Exeller says something harsh, but it's ruined by Alice resetting the timeline.:Exeller: "To tell you the truth... Sometimes the world doesn't need a hero... Sometimes what it needs... is a monster..."
- Most Memory Fragments, since you know what happens next.
- Any interaction between Exeller and Alice is this.
