Befitting a Darker and Edgier take on Thomas & Friends, there is guaranteed to be a lot of moments that'll leave you in tears.
- Let's start with the image on the main page. The very shot of Thomas, Edward and James' tender all lying dead in the remains of Knapford station left a lot of people weeping into their keyboards.
- The sequence leading up to that shot is especially heartbreaking. It starts with Gordon chuffing through the rain, bringing the Breakdown Train to Knapford station, then we get a close up on the now-dead Thomas and Edward before cutting to Gordon chuffing away with a sad look on his face. All while "Farewell Dumbledore" plays in the background.
- During the memorial service for the engines and the people killed in the explosion, Sir Topham Hatt resigns from his position as head of the railway, blaming himself for the disaster.
- Gordon's Big "NO!" after Knapford station is destroyed in "The Enemy, Anger."
- Edward's reaction to seeing Henry dead. All he can do afterwards is distract Percy from seeing Henry's dead face.Edward: Oh, Henry. Tell me it isn't so!
- There once was a short video tying into the series where a very miserable Thomas is chuffing through the rain during the night and he sees Henry's ghost go past him all set to the music from the final episode of Blackadder.
- There's also a deleted scene of James apologizing to Henry for being dismissive towards his sickness before he was killed. It's clear that James is very remorseful over what he did.
