For a Vocaloid Fanime, SHION can get pretty emotional.
Beware Spoilers:
- Episode one has an obvious one where Kaito runs off while his parents are arguing, visits his friend Yuki...and then gets hit by a car.
- Kiyoteru frantically searching for Kaito after he runs away. Nanami calls him desperately asking him if he found him yet.
Nanami: Please bring him home, Kiyo... I miss my baby...- The fact that the last interaction between Kiyoteru and Kaito before the accident was pretty much an argument.
- And, fittingly, Kiyo's reaction when he finds Kaito.
- More of the happy tears variant—Kaito being brought back to life through Shion.
- In episode 5, after Rin's creation, Kaito gets angry because Kiyoteru didn't create a boy this time and tells Kiyoteru that he wants to have a friend. Kiyoteru tells him that it's not his decision, to which Kaito (somewhat rightly) explodes at him about how he always seems to be second on his own father's list of priorities. The two then argue, leading to this lovely exchange. Not helped by Rin mocking Kiyoteru to his face about it after Kaito leaves.Kaito: Aren't I your son!?
Kiyoteru: (furious) NO YOU'RE NOT! YOU'RE JUST A MACHI—(realizes what he just said) crap.
