  • Ryuishi realising that she was never going to see her previous family ever again.
  • During the Third Shinobi War, Ryuishi is summoned back to the brothel where she lived, only to find it destroyed due to some drunken shinobis. Her biological mother is crushed and killed and it was apparent that the ones accountable will not be punished. It was The Last Straw that led her to defect from Mist, along with the majority of the civilian and noble clans before setting it on fire.
  • Itachi's parting farewell to the Uchiha children whom he and Ryuishi saved from the massacre.
  • When Gaara discovers that his 'Aneue' was not only the 'Rakki Ryu' but also one of the 'Kiri no Ningyo' and the co-founder of Otogakure. He declares, understandably since she pretended to be a candy seller to him, that Ryuishi a liar and refuses to see her. While Ryuishi understand his reaction, she was emotionally devastated.
  • Kakashi almost enters in Heroic BSoD when Naruto furiously defends Ryuishi as the very first person who showed him love, realizing the kid was so badly let down by Konoha that an unstable missing-nin basically had to raise him.
    • Also, just how Naruto says Ryuishi helped him: she came when everyone said he was nothing and told him he was something.
  • Jiraiya has a Heroic BSoD of his own twice. Once when he learns Ryuishi raised Naruto and the second when she tells him what an immature, irresponsible, perverted old man he is and how he loves Tsunade even though she'll never reciprocate his feelings.
  • The fact that the story justifiably points out that ALL the "evil" ninja are merely products of a broken system that produces broken people regardless of where they are from. It further points out that people like the 3rd Hokage, who could actually make the world better, delude themselves into believing their version of said system works so nothing ever changes. It's little wonder people like Kisame, Ryuishi and Orochimaru end up being bitter, apathetic, and violent when they are trained to be killers from childhood.
The older man forgets that one tree ended a snarling, thorn-filled vine. He forgets that a serpentine child was born in the Land of Fire, and the flames had left him cold and wanting. He idealizes things in his head, and forgets that the Will of Fire cannot exist without fuel to consume, and that the smoke they produce can be cloying and toxic.
