Tear Jerker / Monster High (2022)

• Clawdeen having to grow up without her mother, her only link to her werewolf heritage, with humans that fear, misunderstand, and generally hate her.
• Toralei and Caterina's "relationship". All of Toralei's actions become framed in a new context when the Boo Crew meets her mother. She's neglectful, manipulative and generally an awful monster, figuratively and literally. What's worse is that Toralei implies that they used to have a more positive dynamic, but after Caterina became were-ruler, she put that image first before her daughter.
• Draculaura's fear of her father's rejection in "Spell the Beans" after he learns of her witchcraft.
• Poor Lagoona's backstory. Her own fear of rejection comes from a massive fight her family had when she was younger over something petty that sent them all away. Now just her and her mother live in their Castillo. Not only was she isolated from the world, now that she has true friends, she's afraid to voice any opposition for fear they may leave her, just like her family.
