Spoilers Off applies to all Tear Jerker pages, so all spoilers are unmarked. You Have Been Warned!

  • PRT (6): Sophia's co-workers are actually grieving over her death, and that Danny gained too much insight and gone nearly brain-dead.
  • Taylor (14): Taylor learns about her father's fate and realizes that she can never go home again. She opts to shoot herself in the head to go back to the Hunter's Dream, right after Assault talked her down, which means he thinks she opted to kill herself.
  • PRT (8): The fallout of Taylor's "suicide" is far-reaching: Danny is almost completely gone mentally, the PRT raided Taylor's room and found out about the bullying campaign, Assault had a nervous breakdown after watching Taylor "kill" herself, and Armsmaster is blaming himself for what happened to both Sophia and Taylor and is working himself into the ground to try and fix things. After going over three days without sleep he finally snaps and rants to Dauntless about how ineffectual and worthless he always finds his own efforts to be, no matter how much time and energy he sacrifices.
    • Worse, according to the author, Danny is fully aware of what's happening to him and can do nothing about it.
    • And to complete the trainwreck, his unyielding devotion to stopping the cause of the two girls' fates has earned him and Miss Militia nothing except steadily increasing Insight, which eventually gets them stuck in the Nightmare of Winslow.
    • He ends up blaming himself when he wakes up to find out Hannah was killed as well.
  • Taylor (19): The Amygdala responsible for the Nightmare of Winslow kills Miss Militia in front of Taylor.
From across the arena I heard Miss Militia's scream cut off into a wet crack, saw red fountain from her mouth from the pressure. Her rifle flickered into green, and vanished. Amygdala opened their dripping palm and let Miss Militia drop. She made a faint, wet plop when she hit the ground.
